Woman killed in Highland Springs

A woman was killed Thursday afternoon in the 1000 block of West Nine Mile Road, near Longstreet Avenue. Henrico Police arrived at a home just before 2:30 p.m. after a report of a suspicious situation and found the woman dead inside.

Detectives are arriving on scene and are in the early stages of their homicide investigation, and there is a heavy police presence at the site. Police are working to determine what happened and are asking for the public’s help.
