Henrico Police identify Near West End shooting victim, seek suspect

UPDATE: MAY 5, 2:21 P.M. –Henrico Police Wednesday announced the name of the woman killed in last night’s shooting at the Extended Stay America Hotel in the Near West End. She was 37-year-old Ashley Nicole Tolliver. Police did not say where she lived.
Police are seeking Kevin K. Mitchell (pictured) in connection with the shooting. He is described as 5 foot 7, 170 pounds, with a tattoo on his neck that reads “Nyasia."

ORIGINAL ARTICLE, MAY 4, 11:04 P.M. – One woman is dead and another person injured critically following a shooting in the 6800 block of Paragon Place in Henrico's Near West End Tuesday night.
It happened sometime after 9 p.m. Henrico Police arrived to find two victims with injuries, both of whom were taken to a hospital. The woman later died. Police have not yet released her name, pending notification of her family.
