More than 7,700 Henrico customers remain without power following winter storm

UPDATE: 12:08 PM – Just more than 7,700 Dominion Energy customers in Henrico County remained without power at noon, according to information provided by the company. That figure had climbed as high as 14,000 as of about 9:30 a.m. before shrinking.

ORIGINAL ARTICLE: 9:30 AM – A winter storm left just more than 14,000 Dominion Energy customers in Henrico County without power as of 9:30 a.m. Monday, according to the company – a total that had grown by nearly 6,000 customers in less than 15 minutes. The company serves just more than 160,000 customers in the county.

One of the largest batch of outages in Henrico was affecting more than 2,000 customers generally along the Patterson Avenue corridor between Forest Avenue and North Gaskins Road.

Another large outage was affecting nearly 2,000 customers along the Francistown Road corridor south of Echo Lake.

Another large outage was impacting 1,677 customers in an area surrounding the I-64/I-295 interchange in Sandston.

Other large outages were affecting:

• about 2,000 customers in the Near West End near Henrico Doctors' Hospita and south of West Broad Street, north of Monument Avenue and west of Libbie Avenue;

• 434 customers in the Woodman Terrace community north of Hungary Road and east of Woodman Road;

• 267 customers in the Near West End just east of West End Drive near Longan Elementary School;

• 227 customers in Lakeside, near Lakeside Elementary School;

• 221 customers in the Mooreland Farms area in the West End, just south of River Road (where a tree fell on a power line);

• 178 customers in Northern Henrico east of Chamberlayne Road and north of Wilkinson Road;

• 163 customers in the Near West End north and south of Bethlehem Road, just west of Libbie Avenue;

• 101 customers in Lakeside along Hermitage Road near Church of the Epiphany.
