The 38th Annual Lebanese Food Festival will return May 19-21 to Saint Anthony’s Maronite Catholic Church, 4611 Sadler Road in Glen Allen. The festival features food, music and dancing. Hours of operation are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday-Saturday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday. Open rain or shine for indoor and outdoor dining. Admission and parking are free. No pets. The Autism Society of Central Virginia’s 5K and Family Fun Day returns to Crump Park on Saturday, May 20. The Family Fun Day will begin at 8 a.m. with costumed characters, an inflatable slide, a tractor and fire truck, photo booth, entertainment, food trucks, exhibitors and a resource fair with more than 30 partners. The University of Richmond “Big Yard Sale” (a sell-off of student discards) returns Saturday, May 20 from 8 a.m. to 12 noon at the east concourse of Robins Stadium. Signs will be posted to direct attendees. Sale items include clothing, shoes, household goods, linens, office supplies, kitchen utensils, cookware, sporting goods, small shelving, electronics, books, lamps, microwaves, and mini-refrigerators. This will be the 24th year that the University of Richmond and Sierra Club Falls of the James Group have joined forces to recycle the goods left by departing students back into the community; except for a small sale last July, this year’s sale is the first BYS since 2019. Dorey Park Farmers Market will host its annual Cajun Crawfish Boil on Saturday, May 20 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Fleur-de-lis Farms, 2666 Kingsland Road in Varina. Dinner will consist of a Louisiana country boil of crawfish, corn, potatoes and fixings. There will also be drinks and live music. Tickets start at $50. All proceeds benefit DPFM, allowing them to expand community outreach efforts and events, increase fun family activities, and keep vendor fees low. Virginia Pride and Stonewall Sports-Richmond will host Rainbow Roll on Sunday, May 21 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Roller Dome, 4902 Williamsburg Road in Sandston. Celebrate the prom season during this all-ages and sober event. Hosted by Stacy Monique Max and Celestia Cox with music by DJ Joey. Admission is $10 at the door and includes roller skate rental. A portion of the proceeds benefits He, She, Ze and We, a local organization that provides support to families of transgender and non-binary youth though networking, advocacy and education.
