The Craftsmen’s Classic Art & Craft Festival—Spring Show will be held at Richmond Raceway on Mar. 10 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Mar. 11 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Mar. 12 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The show features original designs and work from hundreds of talented artists and craftspeople from across America. See the creative process in action as many exhibitors demonstrate throughout the weekend. Tickets are $8 for adults, $1 for children ages 6-12 and free for children under six. Threads will hold its Spring Children’s and Teen Consignment Sale Mar. 10-12 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day in the former JCPenney’s at Regency Mall, 1420 North Parham Road. Items for sale include children’s and teen spring and summer clothing, shoes and accessories, toys, books, games, educational supplies, outdoor playhouses, room decor, child rearing equipment and more. Odd Balls Collectibles & Claire’s Antiques will host their first outdoor flea market of 2023 on Saturday, Mar. 11 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. In addition to 70 outdoor vendors in the parking lot and on the sidewalk, there will be more than 100 vendors indoors. Items for sale include antiques, collectibles, toys, jewelry, furniture, arts and crafts, spring and home decor, signs, clothes and more. There also will be food for purchase. The Shady Grove Coffeehouse will continue its 21st season with East of Monroe on Saturday, Mar. 11 at 8 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Community Church, 11105 Cauthorne Road in Glen Allen. East of Monroe, an Americana/bluegrass band based in Virginia and Maryland, is a Shady Grove favorite. Their music is a mix of original material and the band’s take on material by other artists. The band members all have different influences and backgrounds and that accounts for the many different styles of music the group plays. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door; teens are admitted at half price and children 12 and under are free.
