The Richmond RV Show will take place at Richmond Raceway from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Feb. 3, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Feb. 4, and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 5. Shop the latest models of travel trailers, 5th wheels, Class A, Class B and Class C recreational vehicles. Rain or shine. Admission is $10 at the gate (cash only), $7 with coupon, and $8 for military/first responders, seniors 65 and older and RV/camping club members. Seventeen and under are admitted free. Akoma de Gado will present “African Thread, American Tread” at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4 at the Henrico Theatre. This production will display certain dances and rhythms that have sustained black folk throughout the diaspora for centuries. Admission is free; no registration required. The Gayton Kirk Presbyterian Church, 11421 Gayton Road, will host the Kirk Children’s Book Festival from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 4. The event will feature local authors Jeanne Crowley, Michael R. Fletcher, Diane Forti, Karen Gloyer, Wag Harrison, Elizabeth Javidan, Tina Lautenslager and Leslie Eva Tayloe and illustrator Carter Stewart. Henrico County Public Libraries and Joy the Clown also will be in attendance. Additionally, the church will be collecting new and gently-used children’s books for RVA Reads. Henrico Theatre Company performers Shannon Gibson Brown and Joshua Wortham will present “Our Funny Valentines” on Sunday, Feb. 5 at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. at The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen. Principal clarinetist of the New York Philharmonic, Anthony McGill, and pianist Gloria Chien will perform on Sunday, Feb. 5 at 3 p.m. in Camp Concert Hall, Booker Hall of Music, at the University of Richmond’s Modlin Center for the Arts. The program will include works by Georg Philipp Telemann, Jessie Montgomery, Johannes Brahms, James Lee III and more.
