The ComedySportz Richmond Theater, 8906-H West Broad Street, will present a double feature on Friday, Jan. 20. Comedy Royale – where four RVA improvisers are pitted against one another in a series of quick games – will take place at 8 p.m. Improv Arena – where three teams battle in longer forms of improv – will take place at 10 p.m. Tickets are $12 for Comedy Royale and $10 for Improv Arena; a double feature ticket can be purchased for $17. The Henrico Theatre, 305 East Nine Mile Road in Highland Springs, will show two movies this weekend: “Minions: The Rise of Gru” at 7 p.m. Jan. 20 and at 3 p.m. Jan. 21, and “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” at 8 p.m. Jan. 21 and at 3 p.m. Jan. 22. The Greenberg’s Great Train & Toy Show will take place at Richmond Raceway from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 21-22. The show features 250+ tables of trains for sale from more than 50 exhibitors from across the country. There will be free workshops and demonstrations, a riding train for kids, a free test track, door prize giveaways and more. Cash-only admission at the door is $12 on Saturday and $11 on Sunday; advance tickets online are $1 cheaper. Kids 11 and under are admitted free with a paying adult and do not need a ticket. Kronos Quartet will present “At War With Ourselves” on Saturday, Jan. 21 at 7:30 p.m. in Camp Concert Hall, Booker Hall of Music, at the University of Richmond’s Modlin Center for the Arts. The work explores race relations, social justice and civil rights in 21st century America. The music was composed by Michael Abels, composer for the Jordan Peele films “Us” and “Get Out.” Featuring text and narration by Nikky Finney. Conducted by Valérie Sainte-Agathe.
