will perform at the Henrico Theatre, 305 East Nine Mile Road, on Friday, Aug. 26 at 8 p.m. East of Hollywood covers many genres from rock and R&B to soul, funk, Latin and blues. The band and its members have shared the stage with such acts as The Marshall Tucker Band, Little Feat, The Outlaws, Foreigner and more. Dorey Park will host an outdoor screening of the movie “Finding Dory” on Friday, Aug. 26 at the back of the park near the lake. The Richmond Showmasters Gun Show will be held at Richmond Raceway from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 27 and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 28. Vendors at more than 800 tables will sell, buy or trade guns, swords, knives, decoys, hunting supplies, reloading supplies and components, ammo, books, militaria and more. Lakeside Volunteer Rescue Squad, located at 2007 Timberlake Avenue off Lakeside Avenue, is getting a mural and will celebrate its launch with a Community Day on Sunday, Aug. 28 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Enjoy a vendor fair, gelato truck, Pockitz the Clown with balloons and face painting, hands-only CPR stations, touch-a-truck with a Lakeside ambulance, building tours, music and more. Jewish Family Theatre’s Second Stage will present “Peter Pan, Jr.” at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 28 at the Weinstein Jewish Community Center. Based on J.M. Barrie’s classic tale, Peter Pan is one of the most beloved and frequently performed family favorites of all time. This Tony Award-winning musical has been performed around the world and delighted audiences for 60 years and is now adapted for young performers. Directed by Hayley Tsutsumi. Tickets are $15 to $20.
