Celebrate all the tricks and treats of Halloween from the comfort and safety of your own vehicle at the Boo Drive Thru at Dorey Park on Friday, Oct. 29 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. This not-too-scary adventure takes you and your family on a journey through Dorey Park, where you’ll see spooky scenes with a contactless sweet treat at the end. 3 Penny Theatre will present “Sherlock Holmes,” a new play that features two adventures, “The Speckled Band” and “The Final Problem,” at 7 p.m. at the Gayton Kirk, 11421 Gayton Road. Professional actor and master storyteller Ray Carver will bring Holmes, Watson, Moriarty and all the other characters to life in this one-person performance. “Sherlock Holmes” will be presented in cabaret seating with socially distanced tables. The movie “Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark” (PG-13) will play at the Henrico Theatre at 7 p.m. Oct. 29, 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. Oct. 30 and at 3 p.m. Oct. 31. “On Halloween 1968, Stella and her two friends meet a mysterious drifter, Ramón, and uncover a sinister notebook of stories.” (IMDb) Tickets and concessions are $1, sold only at the door. ComedySportz Richmond will host its Halloween Spooktacular Oct. 29-30 at 7:30 p.m. The thrilling match will be filled with tricks, treats, crazy costumes and spooky games. The audience will not only decide which team wins the match but also which fan wins the costume contest. Tickets are $12 and can be purchased at cszrichmond.com/tickets.

The Dorey Park Farmers Market’s last day of the season is Saturday, Oct. 30. To celebrate, the market will host a Community Fall Festival featuring hayrides, a pumpkin patch, the Teeny Tiny Farm petting zoo, face painting, balloon twister, free popcorn and treat bags for kids (while supplies last), and more from 9 a.m. to noon. Kevin Davis & BanCaribe will provide musical entertainment from 10 a.m. to noon. Local farmers and artisans also will be selling a variety of fresh produce, baked goods, honey, eggs and locally-made items. SNAP EBT is accepted.
