The Henrico Live Summer Series at Henrico Theatre will present Pumphouse Blues on Friday, June 24 from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. This Richmond-based group performs soulful original songs as well as putting their own creative spin on traditional and Chicago Jump/Swing Blues. Henrico Recreation & Parks, Henrico PAL and HELPS (Henrico Partnership for Family & Community Engagement) will host a Family Movie Night on Friday, June 24 from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at Crump Park, 3400 Mountain Road. The movie Soul will begin at approximately 8:45 p.m. on the field in front of the Parsons Community Center. Come early to also enjoy a game truck, outdoor laser tag and bounce house. Adopt Haiti Project will host the Caribbean American Heritage Festival on Saturday, June 25 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Dorey Park, 2999 Darbytown Road in Varina. The event, coinciding with Caribbean American Heritage Month, will feature live music, vendors, and food trucks, alongside a Caribbean Costume contest for participants dressed in their country’s festival costumes. Entrants should bring their country’s flag if possible. The Latin Ballet of Virginia will present “Magia” (Magic) on Saturday, June 25 at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden. This dance theatre work is based on the book written by local artists Chris Burnside and Cat Studdard called “The Gift.” Two 40-minute performances will take place at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. and will include live music by Cuban artist, Yohan Manuel.
