The Henrico Theatre Company will perform “The Taffetas,” a musical journey through the fabulous 50s, at The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen at 8 p.m. May 6-7 and at 3 p.m. May 8. Four singing sisters from Muncie, Ind., are making their national television debut on Dumont Television Network’s Spotlight on Music. Kaye, Peggy, Cheryl and Donna will pay tribute to the sounds of The McGuire Sisters, The Fontane Sisters and the Chordettes. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for seniors and students. Belmont Recreation Center, 1600 Hilliard Road, will host an outdoor Movie in the Park featuring “Raya and the Last Dragon” (PG) from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Friday, May 6. Dorey Park in Varina will celebrate the grand opening of its new baseball stadium with a community carnival and baseball game on Friday, May 6.
