The Richmond Home + Garden Show will take place Mar. 4 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Mar. 5 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Mar. 6 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Richmond Raceway. The show features more than 200 home improvement, landscaping and gardening experts. Discover the latest in home design, remodeling, renovation and improvement, meet local garden specialists and designers, and shop, compare and save with trusted exhibitors. The Henrico Theatre Company will present “A Closer Walk with Patsy Cline” at The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen at 7 p.m. Mar. 4-5 and at 3 p.m. Mar. 6. This musical celebration, created by Dean Regan and starring Shannon Gibson Brown, follows Patsy Cline’s climb to stardom and includes favorites such as “Crazy,” “I Fall to Pieces,” and “Walkin’ After Midnight.” Tickets are $18. Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden will hold its Orchid Show & Sale from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Mar. 4, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mar. 5, and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mar. 6. The orchid show features hundreds of delightful prize-worthy orchids from expert growers. This year’s theme is “In Love with Orchids and Gardens.” Orchid vendors will be set up in the Robins Room of the Robins Visitors Center and free lectures will take place throughout the weekend. West Broad Village will mark International Women’s Day March 6 with a free (after donation to Dress for Success) day of female-powered events, from energy healing to fitness classes and more. To gain complimentary access to all events, which will take place at 2400 Old Brick Road near The Pad, participants can donate a pair of dress shoes. EmpowHERed events will kick off at 11 a.m. with Headshots for Her, a chance to get creative shots with a guest photographer. At noon, acac will host an hour-long workout class, and at 1:00, “Cooking with Keya” will feature a demonstration from Keya, winner of Food Network’s Spring Baking Championship. A 2 p.m. presentation by New Medical Spa will highlight what it means to be a successful female-prenuer, and a chance to win a complimentary lunchtime laser lift. From 3:00 to 3:30, “Fueling the Body with Juice Bar” will explore health benefits of plant-based drinks, followed by a 3:30 presentation focusing on Dress for Success, what the organization is doing for women in the community, and how to get involved. St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church, 9801 Fort King Road, will host its Spring Children’s Consignment Sale from 8 a.m. to noon. Items will be marked down half-price from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Items for sale including clothing, toys, books, baby gear and more. Cash and checks preferred.
