The J.R. Tucker Shoestring Players will present “Radium Girls” at 7 p.m. Feb. 25-26 at Tucker High School, 2910 North Parham Road. “Radium Girls” is based on the true story of female laborers who were poisoned and killed by their factory’s radium-based paint. Follow the efforts of Grace Fryer who fights for her day in court, battling not only with the U.S. Radium Corporation but also with her own family and friends. CharacterWorks Theatre will present the family-friendly musical “Annie” at 7 p.m. Feb. 25, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Feb. 26, and at 2 p.m. Feb. 27 at The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen. Despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City, little orphan Annie is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a NYC orphanage that is run by the embittered, cruel Miss Hannigan. In the end, she finds a new home and family in billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy. The Henrico Theatre in Highland Springs will show “The Mitchells vs. the Machines” (PG) at 7 p.m. Feb. 25, 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. Feb. 26, and at 3 p.m. Feb. 27. A quirky, dysfunctional family’s road trip is upended when they find themselves in the middle of the robot apocalypse and suddenly become humanity’s unlikeliest last hope. Henrico Recreation and Parks will present “Sweet Scents – the History & Science of Perfume Making” from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 27 at Belmont Recreation Center. The Richmond Greater Virginia Bridal Show will take place Feb. 27 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Richmond Raceway.
