The Treasures of the Earth Gem, Mineral and Jewelry Show will take place April 25 from noon to 6 p.m. and April 26-27 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Richmond Raceway Complex. Vendors from across the country will be selling 14K and sterling silver estate, fashion and handmade jewelry, loose stones, pearls and beads, museum-quality rocks and crystals, custom-faceted gemstones, and more. Wire wrappers who can design custom jewelry and set stones will be on site. Additionally, there will be a display of Virginia rocks, minerals and dinosaur bones by the Richmond Gem and Mineral Society. Fairfield Middle School's 4th annual All About Me Day Community Festival will take place Saturday, April 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Most activities for youth are free, including haircuts and styles (hair should be freshly washed, dried and free of products), fingernail painting, face painting, inflatables, games, and more. Youth attendees will receive free game tickets and all attendees will be entered to win raffle and door prizes. There will be free hygiene items, clothing, books and more while supplies last. The festival also will feature student performances, student vendors, local businesses and food trucks, as well as a 3-on-3 basketball tournament. All middle and high school students are invited to participate; you do not need to attend Fairfield or be a Henrico County student. Prizes include exclusive medals, gift cards, prize packs, and more. Henrico Recreation and Parks will present the 3rd annual Farm Field Day on Saturday, April 26 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Meadow Farm Museum at Crump Park. Learn about agricultural practices, trades and crafts of days past. Local craftsmen and businesses will be demonstrating their trades and selling wares. There will also be crafts and food trucks. Richmond Animal League will host Woofstock 2025 on Sunday, April 27 from noon to 6 p.m. at the Innsbrook Pavilion, 4951 Lake Brook Drive. Woofstock is RAL's annual family- and dog-friendly outdoor festival to raise funds and awareness for rescue and adoption. The event will feature vendors and food trucks, live music, pet adoptions, and games and activities for humans and pets. There will also be a pet parade where pets can win awards in categories such as floppiest ears, fluffiest tail, best costume, and more. Desiree Roots will perform at The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen on Sunday, April 27 at 3 p.m. Back by popular demand, Roots' concert will span the genres of gospel, blues, jazz, soul and more. The performance will take place on CACGA’s Center Field outdoor stage. Seating is general admission; bring a lawn chair or blanket. Tickets are $20. Snacks, wine, beer and other beverages will be available for purchase. Pets and outside alcohol are prohibited. Children three and under do not need a ticket.
