Crossroads Art Center, 2016 Staples Mill Road, will hold its March Open House + Artist Reception on Friday, March 21 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Featured exhibitions include the Gallery Member exhibit themed "Spring has Sprung" and the popular juried all-media show themed "All That Jazz." In addition to the art, there will be music by the David Esleck Trio and singer Jordan Garrett, food and drinks. The event is sponsored by the Richmond Symphony League. Admission is free. Local singer-songwriter Susan Greenbaum will perform at the Henrico Theatre on Friday, March 21 at 7 p.m. Greenbaum has five CD releases to her credit. Her writing and singing have been compared to Mary Chapin Carpenter and Bonnie Raitt. This performance will include all new music never performed before a live audience. Tickets are $10. The Showmasters Richmond Gun Show will take place at the Richmond Raceway Complex from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 22 and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 23. There will be 800 tables selling a diverse range of handguns, rifles, shotguns and antique pistols, as well as ammunition, holsters, safes, carbines, swords, knives, early Indian and Western Americana, militaria of all wars, coins, and more. Concealed carry classes will be offered too. Admission for adults is $11 cash or $12 via credit card. In honor of World Down Syndrome Day, Henrico Recreation and Parks will host "Mix, Match and Make A Difference" at two locations Saturday, March 22. Design and create your own pair of socks. Fun, mismatched socks symbolize embracing differences and is a reminder that what makes us stand out, makes us stronger. There are two events to choose from: Dorey Park, Shelter 1 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and Taylor Farm Park, Shelter 1 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Both events are free to attend. The Richmond Makers Market returns to The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen on Sunday, March 22 from noon to 6 p.m. Meet 40+ local artists and makers while shopping for unique handmade goods.
