River City Community Players will present "Crimes of the Heart" by Beth Henley at The Gayton Kirk Presbyterian Church, 11421 Gayton Road, on Feb. 21 at 7:30 p.m. and on Feb. 22 at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The three MaGrath sisters are back together in their hometown of Hazelhurst, Mississippi for the first time in a decade. The eldest, Lenny, never left Hazelhurst and is the caretaker of the sisters' grandfather. Middle sister Meg pursued fame as a singer in Los Angeles but has, so far, only found happiness at the bottom of a bottle. And Babe, the youngest, has just been arrested for the attempted murder of her abusive husband. Each sister must come to terms with the consequences of her own “crimes of the heart." Tickets to the first two shows (Feb. 21 at 7:30 p.m. and Feb. 22 at 2:30 p.m.) are pay-what-you-can. The remaining shows are $15 per ticket. The show concludes next weekend.
