The Shootouts will perform at 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 11 at The Tin Pan, 8982 Quioccasin Road. The Shootouts are known for their energetic blend of honky-tonk, Americana and traditional country. FEB. 12

The Henrico Humane Society’s 21st Annual Pet Expo will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 12 at Richmond Raceway. Vendors and exhibitors will be on site selling pet-related products and services. A variety of activities, many of which involve pet participation, will be scheduled throughout the day. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $8 or at the door for $10; ages 6-12 are $5 and children under six and pets are admitted free. All proceeds benefit the Henrico Humane Society, an all-volunteer, nonprofit animal rescue organization founded in 1991. For details, visit henricohumane.org.


The Shady Grove Coffeehouse at the Unitarian Universalist Community Church, 11105 Cauthorne Road in Glen Allen, will continue its 20th season with East of Monroe on Saturday, Feb. 12 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Children 12 and under are admitted to all concerts free of charge; teens 13-18 are admitted at half price. Net proceeds benefit UUCC. The Henrico Theatre in Highland Springs will show “The Mitchells vs. the Machines” (PG) at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. Feb. 12 and at 3 p.m. Feb. 13. Intermission Beer Company, 10089 Brook Road, will host an outdoor Open Mic Comedy Night with Slice of Life Pizza at 7 p.m. Be entertained by a mix of talented locals, Richmond pros and everyone in between.
