The Bizarre Bazaar's 49th Christmas Collection returns to the Richmond Raceway Complex Dec. 5-7 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Dec. 8 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Four buildings will be filled with unique gifts for all ages from 475 juried exclusive exhibitors and more than 100 new exhibitors only seen at the Bizarre Bazaar. Jewish Family Theatre will present its 15th anniversary production of "Fiddler on the Roof" at the Weinstein JCC Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m. and Dec. 8 at 2 p.m. Winner of nine Tony Awards when it debuted in 1964, the heartwarming tale of Tevye the Dairyman and his family’s struggles in a changing Russia is a musical theatre tradition whose themes continue to be relevant today. In partnership with Henrico Recreation and Parks, The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen will host its 26th annual Tree Lighting on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. This holiday tradition features musical performances, a special Christmas ventriloquist performance by local favorite Chris Campbell, a toasty bonfire, free hot chocolate from Brock’s BBQ, a children's activity with Richmond Family Magazine, and a visit from Santa who will light the iconic cedar Christmas tree at CACGA's entrance. Attendees can also visit the new exhibit, A Festival of Trees, on display through Jan. 5, and the Center's holiday gift shop. Admission is free. The annual Clarke-Palmore Christmas Open House will take place Sunday, Dec. 8 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Family-friendly activities include a craft station, games, tours of the Clarke-Palmore House, a fire pit to make s'mores, and a chance to visit with Santa. A train ride will be available from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Light refreshments and cider will be offered. The Clarke-Palmore House is located at 904 McCoul Street in Varina. Celebrate the peace, drama and joy of the season with an afternoon of choral and instrumental music at the "Christmas with the Richmond Choral Society" concert on Sunday, Dec. 8 at 4 p.m. at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, 1101 Forest Avenue. The concert will feature music by Mendelssohn, André J. Thomas and many others with conductor Markus Compton, organist Christopher Martin, pianist David Schwoebel, oboist George Pavelis, and percussionist Keith Willingham.
