Lakeside's annual holiday season kickoff event, Holly Jolly, returns to Lakeside Farmer's Market Nov. 8-10. A local collaborative market, presented by Twisted Carrot Farm, will take place from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 8, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 9, and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 10. The Henrico Theatre Company will present "Plaid Tidings" at The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen at 7 p.m. Nov. 8-9 and at 3 p.m. Nov. 10. In this musical comedy by Stuart Ross, the legendary Plaids come back to Earth to spread joy with the greatest holiday hits of the ages, after the heavenly Rosemary Clooney lets them know they're needed to put a little harmony into a discordant world. Comedians Finesse Mitchell and Tisha Campbell will perform at the Richmond Funny Bone in Short Pump on Nov. 8 at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. and on Nov. 9 at 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Mitchell entered the comedy scene in 1999 and is a Saturday Night Live alum. He has starred in four one-hour comedy specials. Campbell has appeared in all genres of show business, including singing, acting, directing, producing, and writing. The Shady Grove Coffeehouse at the Unitarian Universalist Community Church, 11105 Cauthorne Road in Glen Allen, will present Richmond singer-songwriter Susan Greenbaum on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 8 p.m. Greenbaum has five CD releases to her credit. Her writing and singing have been compared to Mary Chapin Carpenter and Bonnie Raitt. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door; teens 13-18 are admitted at half price and children 12 and under are free. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Coffee, tea, and baked goods are available for purchase. The Shady Grove Coffeehouse, a folk music concert series, is now in its 23rd season. Mimosa Fest RVA will take place Sunday, Nov. 10 at 11:45 a.m. at Atlas 42, 4032 Cox Road in Innsbrook. Attendees will receive a welcome mimosa, one hour of bottomless mimosas, brunch hors d'oeuvres, a swag bag, two drink tickets, and a "thank you for coming" drink on the way out. Entertainment will be provided by DJ Precise and violinist Gina J. Payne. There also will be food vendors and other drinks (prosecco/champagne, cocktails, wine, water and soda) for purchase.
