Henrico Recreation and Parks and The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen will show the movie "Wonka" on Friday, Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. in CACGA's outdoor Center Field venue. Admission is free with a donation to Henrico County’s Christmas Mother program. Attendees are asked to bring new teen or adult hats and gloves, stroller toys, bath toys, or men's XL or larger flannel shirts. Bring a blanket or lawn chair. The Dorey Park Farmers Market will host its annual Community Fall Festival on its final market day of the season, Saturday, Oct. 26 from 9 a.m. to noon. There will be hayrides, the Teeny Tiny Farm Petting Zoo, live music, a pumpkin patch, face painting, balloon twisting, POP Club games and prizes, treats, and more. Costumes are encouraged but not required. Additionally, local farmers and artisans will be selling a variety of fresh produce, jams and jellies, baked goods, honey, eggs, flowers, and handcrafted items. Admission is free. The BrickUniverse LEGO Fan Expo will take place at Richmond Raceway on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Exhibit Hall will feature merchandise and displays representing all things LEGO bricks. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore works of art, meet multiple professional artists, and get creative in Building Zones. Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden will celebrate Diwali, the festival of lights, on Saturday, Oct. 26 from noon to 8 p.m. Celebrate the triumph of light over darkness with Indian cultural activities including Bollywood dancers and other traditional performances, henna artists, local music, an artisan market, a kids puppet show telling the story of Ramayna, Indian cuisine, and more. Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden will host its annual HarvestFest fall festival on Sunday, Oct. 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. See the changing colors of the garden while enjoying activities such as face painting, a caricature station, storytime with "Friends of the Great Outdoors" author Hank Thornhill, pumpkin painting, a live pumpkin carving demo, and more. The Pollocks, an Americana-rock band from Charlottesville, will perform from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., followed by line dancing with Boots and Pearls Line Dancers at 2 p.m. There also will be fall foods like pies, bratwursts and ciders for sale.
