River City Community Players will present “The Sunshine Boys” Sept. 20 at 7:30 p.m. and Sept. 21 at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at Gayton Kirk Presbyterian Church, 11421 Gayton Road. Al and Willie as “Lewis and Clark” were top-billed vaudevillians for over 40 years. Now they aren’t even speaking. When CBS requests them for a “History of Comedy” retrospective, a grudging reunion brings the two back together, along with a flood of memories, miseries and laughs. Dorey Park will host a Movie in the Park night featuring the film “Trolls: Band Together” on Friday, Sept. 20. The movie will begin at sunset, approximately 7 p.m. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and flashlight. Admission is free. Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden will host its annual Fall Plant Sale on Sept. 20-21 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in parking lot B. Knowledgeable Garden volunteers, master gardeners and master naturalists will be on site to answer questions and help shoppers choose the best plants. Other garden-related items will be for sale too. Leashed dogs are welcome. Admission to the plant sale is free; admission to the Garden is $10 to $20. The fall plant sale is presented by Garden volunteers and a portion of vendor proceeds benefits Lewis Ginter. St. Mary and St. Philopater Mercurius Coptic Orthodox Church, located at 2101 Fordson Road in Henrico, will host its fifth annual Egyptian Festival Sept. 21-22. Enjoy authentic Egyptian food, culture, music and dance, as well as kids’ activities, Henna tattoos, church tours and more. Admission is free. Award-winning singer-songwriter Susan Greenbaum will perform at The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen on Sunday, Sept. 22 at 3 p.m. A favorite of the RVA music scene, Greenbaum has released five albums, won several national songwriting competitions, and has opened for industry heavyweights like Patty Griffin, Todd Snider and Kenny Loggins. The performance will take place on CACGA’s Center Field outdoor stage. Seating is general admission; bring a lawn chair or blanket. Tickets are $20.
