The Henrico Theatre Company will present “Never Too Late” at 8 p.m. Aug. 2-3 and at 3 p.m. Aug. 4 at The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen. This old-fashioned domestic farce is about a married man in his 50s who learns he will become a father again. His daughter was born 24 years ago and, considering the fool she married, he finds the prospect of another unthinkable. Plus, his previously meek little wife begins to lay down the law. Henrico Recreation and Parks will host its first Dog Days of Summer event on Saturday, Aug. 3 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Meadow Farm Museum at Crump Park. There will be pup-centered activities for dogs and humans including a small agility course, wading pools for splashing and a canine craft for children. Dozens of pet and food vendors will be on site. Celeste Fetta from the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts will present “Style 1900: French Art and Design at the Turn of the Last Century” from 11 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Aug. 3 at Tuckahoe Library, 1901 Starling Drive. The Summer Olympics are in Paris this year just as they were in the year 1900. Explore the artists and designers who were and weren't included in the pivotal Paris Exposition Universelle of 1900. Idlewild South, an Allman Brothers Band tribute act, will perform at The Tin Pan, 8982 Quioccasin Road, on Saturday, Aug. 3 at 8 p.m. Idlewild South, who has played together since 2012, performs the extensive catalogue of the legendary blues/rock band. Featuring Don Eason on vocals/keys, drumming duo Robert Kintner and L.A. Freeman, former Dickey Betts bassist Marty Privette, slide guitarist/vocalist Dave George, and lead guitarist/vocalist Mark Mulholland. Tickets are $27.50.
