The Chamberlayne Actors Theatre, or CAT, will present “Keep on Laughing” at HATTheatre, 1124 Westbriar Drive in Henrico’s West End, June 7-8 at 8 p.m. and June 9 at 2:30 p.m. The ladies of last year’s show, “Exit Laughing,” are back in this new production. Connie’s daughter, Rachel, has married her 28-year-old stripper boyfriend, Bobby, and they are expecting twins. Connie, Leona and Millie have been touring the world and having the time of their lives, returning to tell hysterical stories of their adventures. The Henrico 250 Committee will host a Movie in the Park featuring Disney's “Johnny Tremain” at Clarke-Palmore House Museum, 904 McCoul Street, on Friday, June 7 from 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Follow in the footsteps of a teenage boy as he decides which path to take in the early days of the Revolutionary War – meeting spies, witnessing the Boston Tea Party, and seeing the first shots of the American Revolution. Activities will be offered before the movie begins at sundown. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and flashlight. Free popcorn and shaved ice will be available while supplies last. Admission is free. Henrico Master Gardeners will hold their annual Spring Plant Sale and Pollinator Festival on Saturday, June 8 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Deep Run Recreation Center, 9900 Ridgefield Parkway. Master Gardeners will be selling plants from their own gardens at low prices as well as pre-made floral arrangements and gently-used gardening items at a “Garden Treasures” table. The event also will include educational displays and exhibitor booths, a plant clinic to answer gardening questions, speaker presentations, hands-on children’s activities (including story time and a photo booth), entertainment by William (Tripp) and Jenny Johnson of The Cary Street Ramblers, the Sandtopia Food Truck, and more. The inaugural Bourbon, Brews & Barks Festival will take place at Park Lane Tavern on The Lawn at West Broad Village on Saturday, June 8 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sip on a variety of bourbons and beers, listen to music by DJ JRB, and enjoy fun activities for humans and pets alike. The Salty Paws RVA ice cream truck will be selling treats for pups. Cost is $55 per person. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to FETCH a Cure. Click here for details. The Dorey Park Farmers Market this summer will continue its evening concert series featuring local RVA bands. The Second Saturdays series will take place at the market every second Saturday of the month from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The performer June 8 will be Full Moon Fever.
