The 39th Annual Lebanese Food Festival will return May 17-19 to Saint Anthony’s Maronite Catholic Church, 4611 Sadler Road in Glen Allen. The festival features food, live music and entertainment. Hours of operation are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday-Saturday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday. Open rain or shine for indoor and outdoor dining. Admission and parking are free. No pets allowed. The University of Richmond’s 25th Big Yard Sale will take place Saturday, May 18 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Robins Stadium East Concourse. Student discards will be for sale including mini-refrigerators, microwaves, clothing, shoes, linens, appliances, kitchen and household items, sports equipment, lamps, electronics, office items, office chairs, and more. Proceeds benefit UR Rethink Waste Office and Falls of the James Group – Sierra Club. Shoppers are asked to bring their own bag. Cash or check preferred.


The Autism Society of Central Virginia’s 5K and Family Fun Day returns to Crump Park on Saturday, May 18 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. The walk/run is 3.1 miles, starting and ending at Crump Park. The race is family-friendly and wheel-friendly. Timing chips are also available. The Family Fun Day will feature family-friendly activities, entertainment on the main stage, and a resource fair highlighting the work of community partners. Fairfield Middle School, 5121 Nine Mile Road, will host its third annual Community Festival on Saturday, May 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The “All About Me Day” celebration will feature a variety of activities including free haircuts, hair styles and fingernail painting for youth, a mobile ear piercer, overhead 360 photo booth and camera photo booth, food, a DJ, a bounce house and inflatable obstacle course, games and e-sports, shopping with student vendors and local businesses, and more. The Richmond Showmasters Gun Show will be held at the Richmond Raceway Complex from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 18 and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 19. Vendors at approximately 800 tables will sell, buy or trade guns, swords, knives, decoys, hunting supplies, reloading supplies and components, ammo, books, militaria and more. There also will be free 15-minute gun cleaning seminars, concealed carry classes, and other workshops. Admission is $14; children ages 12-17 are $7 and children under 12 are admitted free with a supervising adult. A $1 off coupon is available online. Parking is free.
