The Henrico Theatre Company will present “Some Enchanted Evening: The Music of Rodgers and Hammerstein” May 10-11 at 8 p.m. and May 12 at 3 p.m. at The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen. Five performers will explore the duo’s songs in different styles, including popular hits “If I Loved You,” “In My Own Little Corner,” “The Sound of Music,” “Shall We Dance?” and more. The Richmond VA Comicon will take place Saturday, May 11 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Richmond Raceway. There will be a costume contest in addition to a variety of exhibitors and artists selling comics and toys. Tickets start at $12 and are available online only; no tickets will be sold at the door. Odd Balls Collectibles & Claire's Antiques, located in the Merchants Walk Shopping Center at 7580 West Broad Street, will hold an outdoor flea market on Saturday, May 11 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. More than 70 outdoor vendors and 100 indoor vendors will have a variety of items for sale including antiques and collectibles, vintage toys, jewelry, furniture, arts and crafts, home decor, clothes, comic books, albums and more. Deep Run Park, 9900 Ridgefield Parkway, will have vehicles and trucks available for children to explore at Kids ‘N Trucks on Saturday, May 11 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Take pictures and talk to the operators of emergency vehicles, work trucks, tractors and more. In honor of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, experience the traditional sights and sounds of India through games, activities and hands-on art practice at Twin Hickory Library from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 11. A special lecture-demonstration on the sitar and accompanying tabla (Indian drum) from the award-winning musician and recording artist, Dr. Suman Sharma, will take place at 11 a.m. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
