The Richmond RV Show will take place at the Richmond Raceway Complex from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Feb. 2, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Feb. 3, and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 4. The latest models of travel trailers, fifth wheels, Class A, Class B and Class C recreational vehicles will be on display. First-time or full-time RVers are invited. Admission is $12 (cash only) at the gate; download a $2 coupon here. Entry after 5 p.m. Feb. 2-3 is $10 for two adults. Under 18 are admitted free. The Richmond, Virginia LEGO User Group (RVA-LUG) will host its third-annual open house and brick show – RVA Brick Day – Saturday, Feb. 3 at the Guzman Community Center at the Faison Center, 5200 Fitzhugh Avenue near Willow Lawn. The event is free for all ages and is appropriate for casual fans of LEGO or dedicated builders. The Henrico Theatre, 305 East Nine Mile Road in Highland Springs, is kicking off Black History Month with performances by Akoma de Gado on Saturday, Feb. 3 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Each performance about African traditions is educational, energetic and family-oriented. The Gayton Kirk Presbyterian Church, 11421 Gayton Road, will host its second annual Kirk Children’s Book Festival from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 3. The event will feature local authors Eric Albright, Julie and Tony Atlas, Cindy Chisholm, Mike Fletcher, Bridgette Fowler, L.L.H. Harms, Wag Harrison, Sandrine Marlier, Syeda Mleeha Shah, Kristina Sheldon, Martin Tiller and Stacy Vaught. Henrico County Public Libraries and Joy the Clown also will be in attendance. Additionally, the church will be collecting new and gently-used children’s books for RVA Reads. In honor of Black History Month, Henrico Recreation and Parks will host a walking tour of the historic Woodland Cemetery on Saturday, Feb. 3 at 11 a.m. Woodland Cemetery is the final resting place of many African Americans from Richmond, Henrico and surrounding areas. The tour will highlight some of the influential people buried there and the ongoing recovery efforts that have taken place in recent years. As the tour will cover a large portion of the cemetery, visitors should dress accordingly. The group will meet at the chapel. The cemetery is located at 2300 Magnolia Road.
