Threads Consignment Events will hold a Ladies & Home Goods consignment sale at Regency Mall Oct. 27-29 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Items for sale include women’s clothing (business, casual, athletic and formal wear), wedding dresses, jewelry, handbags, shoes, and small home furnishings including side tables, chairs, lamps, rugs, mirrors, art, housewares, decor and more. Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden will host Harvestfest/Dia de los Muertos on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. There will be live performances by The Latin Ballet of Virginia (11 a.m. and 12 p.m.), Kadencia Orchestra (2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.) and DJ Ray (5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.). There also will be a craft market with Hispanic artisans (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.), a Dia de los Muertos altar community activity, artist demonstrations, bilingual storytime, activities in the Children’s Garden, food and drinks under the Bloemandaal tent (11 a.m. to 7 p.m.), and more. Libbie Mill will host its annual Fall Festival from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28. There will be live music by The Embalmers, Saint Square Band and DJ Tony, a costume contest at 2 p.m., Jonathan the Juggler, the Teeny Tiny Petting Zoo, pony rides, face painting, a hay maze, dozens of vendors, food trucks, and more. The Dorey Park Farmers Market will host a Fall Festival on the last market day of the season, Saturday, Oct. 28. Local farmers and artisans will be selling a variety of fresh produce, baked goods, honey, jams and jellies, eggs and handcrafted items. In addition, there will be hayrides, the Teeny Tiny Farm Petting Zoo, a pumpkin patch, face painting, balloon twisting, live music, free treats and popcorn for kids, and more. West Broad Village will host its annual Halloween Fest on Sunday, Oct. 29 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on The Pad at 2250 Old Brick Road. There will be live music, various Halloween-themed games suitable for all ages, a selection of food and beverages prepared by on-site restaurants, a kid’s craft corner, a family fun zone, photo opportunities, haunted hayrides, and more.
