Crump Park will host an outdoor showing and sing-a-long of the movie “The Nightmare Before Christmas” on Friday, Oct. 13. The movie will begin after sunset, which is approximately 7 p.m. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and a flashlight - it can double as a microphone! Popcorn will be available for purchase. The Richmond Water Lantern Festival will take place Saturday, Oct. 14 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Crump Park, 3400 Mountain Road. Participants will enjoy food trucks, music and other fun while decorating their own lantern to release as a group on the lake at sunset. Ticket price covers the cost of collecting and removing the lanterns from the water following the event as well as cleaning up any trash that may have been previously been in or around the water.
