Meadow Farm Museum will present “History in Focus: A Series” on select Saturdays from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. All ages are invited to explore historical topics in detail with staff-led specialty tours. Today’s topic is Weather Patterns of Long Ago – explore the surviving documentation of the weather patterns in Henrico County during the Jeffersonian era and the impact they had on farmers, livestock, and the local citizens. The 2019 Innsbrook Taste of Virginia will be held from 3:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Innsbrook Pavilion. Taste of Virginia is a family-friendly food festival showcasing delicious dishes from local restaurants, each competing for the honorary “Taste of Virginia” title, as well as awards for other significant categories. Midas of Richmond—Short Pump, 11463 W. CharacterWorks, a Christian youth theatre program, will present “Les Miserables School Edition” July 6-7 at The Steward School, 11600 Gayton Road. The musical is based on the 1862 novel of the same name by French poet and novelist Victor Hugo. “Les Miserables School Edition” is CharacterWorks’ 2019 summer Masters Camp production, performed by a cast of high school students at the conclusion of a two-week camp.
