Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden will offer special activities for Father’s Day weekend, June 15-16. On Saturday, crafts and activities will take place in the Children’s Garden from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The King of Pops will be selling cold treats from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Leased dogs are welcome. On Sunday, the No Charge Band will play at the Bloemendaal House from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. A buffet-style cookout (for purchase) will be served on the lawn from noon to 3 p.m. The Butterflies LIVE! exhibit will be open all weekend. Cars and Coffee Richmond, an informal biweekly car show of mature car enthusiasts, will meet at Regency Mall from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. The family-friendly show is open to all types of motor vehicles from motorcycles to trucks and track cars. Tuckahoe Plantation, 12601 River Road, will host a Father’s Day Cookout from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Celebrate Dad while enjoying music, burgers and BBQ, lawn games and tours of the historic home. Visitors also can get an upclose look at cannons, firetrucks, tractors and even a helicopter. Blankets, chairs and picnics welcome. General admission is $5; house tours are $5. James River Cellars Winery, 11008 Washington Highway in Glen Allen, will celebrate Father’s Day from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Any wine purchase includes the mini bagel bar with cream cheese starting at 11 a.m. until supplies are gone. Haze & Dacey will provide live music from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and the Curry in a Hurry food truck will be on site. The tasting room will be open until 6 p.m. Tastings are half-price for dads.
