Journey tribute band Frontiers will perform at 8 p.m. at The Tin Pan, 8982 Quioccasin Road. The Richmond Boat Show will take place at Richmond Raceway Feb. 15 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Feb. 16 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Feb. 17 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Boats on display from 18 dealers include saltwater fishing boats, ski boats, pontoon boats, deck boats, motor yachts and more. Additional exhibits include boat lifts, floating docks, marine electronics, water sports and safety equipment. Experts will answer questions about marinas, financing, insurance, maintenance, repair and safety. Admission is $10 for adults and free for kids 12 and under. CAT Theatre, 319 N. Wilkinson Road, will present “Becky’s New Car” Feb. 15-17. Becky is stuck in middle age, middle management and in a middling marriage with no prospects for change. Until a socially-inept and grief-stricken millionaire stumbles into the car dealership where Becky works and offers her nothing short of a new life. “Becky’s New Car” is CAT’s submission to the 2019 Acts of Faith Theatre Festival. The McShin Foundation and the Virginia Folk Music Association will host the 9th Annual Bluegrass Festival from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 2300 Dumbarton Road. The band lineup includes Old Dogs New Tricks, Bracey Junction, Copper Ridge, Appalachian Express, County Seat, Back Forty Drive and Blue Steel. For tickets and information, visit www.mcshin.org. Sportable, a Paralympic adaptive sports club, will host the River City Classic adult wheelchair basketball tournament Feb. 16-17 at Glen Allen High School, through a partnership with Henrico Recreation and Parks. The River City Classic will feature eight adult Division II National Wheelchair Basketball Association teams from Charlotte, Charlottesville, New York, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Raleigh, Richmond, and Virginia Beach. For most participating teams, this will be one of the last tournaments before Nationals take place in Cleveland in March. The Sportable Rim Riders, the host team, is currently ranked 19th nationally and will be looking to move up in the rankings based on its performance. The top 16 teams in the country qualify for the national tournament. The River City Classic will tip off at 8:30 a.m. Feb. 16 and conclude the following day with the title game at 1 p.m. The Sportable Rim Riders will play at 8:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Pocahontas Chapter of the Virginia Native Plant Society will meet at Dorey Park to search for the first unique flower of spring, the eastern skunk cabbage. This flower can be found even with snow on the ground because it generates heat and melts the surrounding snow. It also emits a sulfur-like odor, giving the flower its name. Anyone with an interest in the native landscape is welcome, from novice to expert.
