The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen will present the Rock & Roll Jubilee at 7 p.m. Feb. 8-9 and at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 10. RVA favorites Craig Evans, Brad Tucker, Brian Sulser, George Garrett, Jim Wark and BJ Kocen will perform all your favorite songs from the Titans of Teen Town – Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison, The Everly Brothers and Ricky Nelson. The Richmond Camping RV Expo will take place at Richmond Raceway Feb. 8 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Feb. 9 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Feb. 10 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Recreational vehicles dealers from several states will bring tent campers, travel trailers, hi-line motorcoaches, park models, motorhomes and more in a variety of floorplans to meet every budget and camping style. CAT Theatre, 319 N. Wilkinson Road, will present “Becky’s New Car” Feb. 8-23. Becky is stuck in middle age, middle management and in a middling marriage with no prospects for change. Until a socially-inept and grief-stricken millionaire stumbles into the car dealership where Becky works and offers her nothing short of a new life. “Becky’s New Car” is CAT’s submission to the 2019 Acts of Faith Theatre Festival. Wilton House Museum, 215 S. Wilton Road, will present “Aggy of Turkey Island: The Mother Enslaved,” the second installment of its Plays in the Passage series, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Ryland Randolph died in 1784 and his will left specific instructions for his family: to free and provide for Aggy, a slave, and their two children. A legal battle ensues that reveals the crossed lines of family, religion, ethics and the emerging national debate on slavery. Space is limited. Tickets are $20. The Lakeside Farmer’s Market will host a special two-market weekend Feb. 9-10. On Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., the market will have all the fresh ingredients needed to make a special Valentine’s dinner. There will be music, free coffee and free Valentine treats for children. On Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., a Made in VA Valentine’s Day Maker’s Market will feature a variety of locally-made items for that special someone, food and beverages, a VDay photo booth and more. Riddick Dance Company will present “The King Project” at 7 p.m. at the Henrico Theatre in Highland Springs. Choreographers David Riddick and Marshall Swiney placed the important writings of Dr. Martin Luther King – “I Have a Dream” speech, “Letter from Birmingham Jail” and “I’ve Been to the Mountaintop” speech – in a performance setting to create a fusion of contemporary movement with sounded oration. The Shady Grove Coffeehouse will present Americana virtuosos the April Verch Band at 8 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Community Church, 11105 Cauthorne Road in Glen Allen. Verch steps, sings and fiddles with a fresh and feisty approach to deep North American traditions. She is joined by bassist and clawhammer banjo player Cody Walters, and guitarist and mandolinist Alex Rubin. Tickets are $20 to $25 with discounts for teens; children 12 and under are free. Intermission Beer Company, 10089 Brook Road near Virginia Center Commons, will hold a Chili Cook-Off Fundraiser benefiting Checkpoint One from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The competition will feature 10 chilis and the top three will be recognized at the end of the night. Try all 10 chilis for $10. Checkpoint One is a Doswell-based nonprofit that offers non-riding equine assisted therapies and coaching, yoga and other services to first responders, military and veterans. The Henrico performance of Generation Dream, one of the Richmond Peace Education Center’s biggest events, will take place at 3 p.m. at the Henrico Theater, 305 E. Nine Mile Road. Held annually in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy and his vision of peace and social justice, the family-friendly event features talented youth from throughout central Virginia, along with supporting adult artists.
