The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen will present “An Evening of Love Songs from Broadway & Opera” featuring Cathy Motley-Fitch and Jason Marks at 7 p.m. Soprano Motley-Fitch is one-third of RVA’s beloved Richmond Divas. Marks is a singer, actor and composer who has performed solo and oratorio works with the Richmond Symphony and the Washington Chorus & National Symphony Orchestra. The Modlin Center for the Arts at the University of Richmond will present Sounds of China at 7:30 p.m. at Camp Concert Hall. Led by artistic director and composer Ma Jiuyue, Sounds of China features an ensemble of contemporary Chinese folk musicians who combine traditional Chinese music with modern arrangements. Synergy Yoga will present “Experience the Drummer in You,” a drumming circle led by Matt Price, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The family-friendly workshop is designed to introduce people to the health and wellness benefits of group drumming. Frostfest 2019, Virginia’s largest ham radio show and convention, will be held at Richmond Raceway from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Vendors and private sellers will have new and used rigs for sale, as well as “boat anchors,” antennas, electronic parts, tools, books, apparel and more. License testing will be available on site. Forums and meetings will be held throughout the day. Admission is $10 for adults; youth under the age of 18 are free.
