Gayton Church, 13501 N. Gayton Road, will present its annual Jazz Nativity concerts featuring UR music professor and jazz musician David Esleck at 7 p.m. Nov. 30 and at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Dec. 1-2. Esleck, along with KOS Band member Rich Moncure and others, will perform holiday favorites in styles ranging from big band swing and Dixieland to Trans-Siberian Orchestra-style rock. The Virginia Cliffe Inn, 2900 Mountain Road, will host Christmas at Granny’s 2018 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 30, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dec. 1 and from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 2. This annual holiday craft fair will feature more than 50 artisans from throughout Virginia. The Inn will be decorated in festive holiday décor. Admission is free. The Bizarre Bazaar will present its 43rd Christmas Collection from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 30-Dec. 1 and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 2 at Richmond Raceway. The holiday marketplace will feature 500 juried exclusive exhibitors and more than 100 new exhibitors only seen at The Bizarre Bazaar. Items include seasonal gifts, home and garden décor, gourmet food, fine linens, clothing, fine crafts, artwork, furniture and more. Admission is $9 for adults and $1.50 for children 2-12. CAT Theatre, 319 N. Wilkinson Road in Henrico, will present “A Doublewide, Texas Christmas” at 8 p.m. Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 and at 2:30 p.m. Dec. 2. The trailer park residents in the newest – and tiniest – town in Texas have just discovered that Doublewide is being double crossed by the county. With their official incorporation papers in jeopardy, these eccentric Texans throw themselves into taking on the Big Guys, starting with the county-wide Battle of the Mangers competition. The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen, in partnership with Henrico Recreation and Parks, will present the 20th annual Tree Lighting from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Enjoy cookies and hot chocolate, holiday music performances, a toasty bonfire, holiday crafts for kids and a special visit from Santa to light the 60-foot cedar Christmas tree. The Center's gift shop and the annual “Illumination: Festival of Trees” will be open to the public. Admission and parking are free. The Salvation Army of Central Virginia will present a free Christmas concert featuring the renowned National Capital Band from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 9505 Gayton Road.


The second annual Friends of Shockoe Hill Cemetery Book Fair will be held from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Crossroads Art Center, 2016 Staples Mill Road. In addition to selling their books, authors will be on site to discuss their publications and sign copies. The Shady Grove Coffeehouse will continue its 18th season with “Home for the Holidays,” a special holiday program, at 8 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Community Church, 11105 Cauthorne Road in Glen Allen. The concert will feature performances by the UUCC Choir as well as smaller ensembles and soloists. The Tallis Scholars will present “A Renaissance Christmas” at 7 p.m. at River Road Church, 8000 River Road. The program features the second-ever performance of Nico Muhly’s “Rough Note,” Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina’s “Hodie Christus natus est” and “Missa Hodie Christus natus est,” John Nesbett’s “Magnificat” and others. They have sought to bring Renaissance works to a wider audience in churches, cathedrals and venues around the world. The Richmond Choral Society will perform a collection of seasonal music in their holiday concert, “Christmas with the Richmond Choral Society,” at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2315 N.
