Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden will present the Dominion Energy GardenFest of Lights nightly from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Nov. 24 to Jan. 8 (closed Dec. 24-25). This year’s theme will explore “Naturally Ever After: Stories in Lights” - from fairy tales and folklore to time-treasured classics. The event features more than a half-million lights, botanical decorations, trains, holiday dinners, family activities and more. Admission is $5 to $13. Lavender Fields Herb Farm, 11300 Winfrey Rd. in Glen Allen, will host its annual Christmas Open House from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 24-25. Enjoy tasty farm favorites, hot cider or lavender tea and reserve a spot in the Farm’s Fresh Herbal Wreath class. Fresh garland and wreaths, as well as other seasonal accents will be on sale. ComedySportz will present their hilarious, fast-paced and clean comedy at 8 p.m. Nov. 24 and at 7 p.m. Nov. 25 at the ComedySportz Improv Theatre, located at 8906-H West Broad St.  ComedySportz Richmond pits two teams, the Richmond Legends and the Virginia Hams, against each other in an improv battle for laughs and points as they make up scenes, games and songs on the spot based off of audience suggestions.  There is also a referee that calls the fouls and the national anthem is even played before each match.  The audience then votes for the winners.  Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door.  For details, call 266-9377 or visit www.comedysportzrichmond.com.


The Richmond Funny Bone, located at Short Pump Town Center, will present comedian Steve Wilson at 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. Nov. 24, 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Nov. 25 and at 7 p.m. Nov. 26. Five bands will perform at a benefit for Lakeside Volunteer Rescue Squad from 3 p.m. to close at Another Round Bar and Grill, 7515 Brook Rd. Bands performing include Shameless Band, Roc Kandi, Eric Tipton, Phresh on Tap and Last Chance. There will also be 50/50 raffles, silent auction items and giveaways. Admission is $5. Regency Square will present “Construction Junction” every weekend through Dec. 23. This special holiday event focuses on unique organizations demonstrating the construction process of their crafts.
