The River City Community Players will present “Belles: The Reunion” July 6-8 at CAT Theatre, 319 N. Wilkinson Rd. in Henrico. In this heart-warming comedy, the six Walker sisters from Memphis are scattered across the country and they’re all back on their phones again for another crisis-filled weekend. The Richmond Funny Bone, located at Short Pump Town Center, will present comedian Benji Brown at 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. July 6, 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. July 7 and 7 p.m. July 8. Brown is currently an on-air personality for the syndicated Rickey Smiley Morning Show. He also appeared on episodes of the TV One sitcom The Rickey Smiley Show, Jamie Foxx’s Laffapalooza, and STARZ’s 1st Amendment Comedy Show, and was a guest performer for the Sony Ericsson World Championship Tennis Tournament. ComedySportz will present their hilarious, fast-paced and clean comedy at 8 p.m. July 6 and at 7 p.m. July 7 at the ComedySportz Improv Theatre, located at 8906-H West Broad St. ComedySportz Richmond pits two teams, the Richmond Legends and the Virginia Hams, against each other in an improv battle for laughs and points as they make up scenes, games and songs on the spot based off of audience suggestions. There is also a referee that calls the fouls and the national anthem is even played before each match. The audience then votes for the winners. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Meadow Farm will present Saturday Live from 12 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on the first Saturday of each month through August. Enjoy an afternoon of interactive live history demonstrations as you explore this mid-19th century farm – from blacksmithing and wool dyeing to woodworking, cooking and gardening. In addition to regular activities, each Saturday will have a unique theme and guests will be able to explore what that particular subject was like in the 1860s. Spend an afternoon with the Bronte sisters at Varina Library. At 1 p.m. the library will show “Wuthering Heights” (PG, 1992, 105 minutes) – A man becomes obsessed with vengeance when his soul mate marries another man. At 3:30 p.m. the library will show “Jane Eyre” (PG-13, 2011, 120 minutes) – A governess softens the heart of her employer, Edward Rochester, only to discover he’s hiding a terrible secret. Jonathan Edwards will perform at 8 p.m. at The Tin Pan, 8982 Quioccasin Rd. Since 1971, Edwards has released 15 albums, including “Blue Ridge,” his standard-setting collaboration with bluegrass favorites Seldom Scene, and “Little Hands,” his collection of children’s songs, which was honored with a National Library Association award. Henrico Master Gardeners will be available for questions and tours of the Pollinator Garden at Short Pump Park on the second Sunday of each month, June through September. The sessions will be held from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Short Pump Park is located at 3329 Pump Rd.


Hungary Road Baptist Church, 1733 Hungary Rd., will host “Friends and Family Day” starting at the 10:30 a.m. come-as-you-are worship service. The worship service will feature guest psalmist Evangelist Marjorie Robertson and the HRBC Legacy Choir. A free cookout for the community will follow with food, a kid’s zone with lawn games and more.
