West Broad Village will present its annual Rock & Roll Summer Concert Series every other Friday through August from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at The Pad, 2301 Old Brick Rd., near Aloft Hotel. Performing tonight is Life on Mars, a David Bowie tribute band. There will also be raffles, games, food, drinks and vendors. The concert is free and open to the public. Willow Lawn’s sixth annual Wine & Whiskers event will take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. This dog- and family-friendly event features wine tasting from 10-12 regional wineries, food sampling, live entertainment from local 80s cover band Party McFly, a doggie bikini contest, pet-friendly activities, free giveaways, a kid’s zone and more. The Richmond Daylily Society Show and Sale will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden. Hundreds of show-stopping daylilies in every shape and color will be on display. One Voice Chorus will present “A Slice of Apple Pie: Songs Representing the American Spirit” at 7:30 p.m. at Seventh Street Christian Church, 4101 Grove Ave. The music representation of American nationalism is found not only in Appalachian folk songs and spirituals but in jazz and patriotic songs. Wilton House Museum, 215 S. Wilton Rd., will present Wilton Discovery Days at 10 a.m. Today’s topic is Camp Wilton – explore Wilton and the Randolph family during the American Revolution, design a regimental flag, learn how to march, and make musket cartridges to take home. Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden will offer a variety of activities to celebrate Father’s Day June 16-17. On Saturday, there will be crafts and activities in the Children’s Garden from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. There will also be outdoor adventures for the whole family courtesy of L.L. Bean Discovery Schools. Leashed dogs will be allowed. On Sunday, the Jangling Reinharts will perform from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Bloemendaal House. Bring Dad out for “Bagels at the Bar” at 11 a.m. at James River Cellars Winey, 11008 Washington Hwy. in Glen Allen. Any wine purchase (tasting, glass or bottle) gets you access to the mini bagel bar complete with cream cheese. Bagels will be available until supplies run out.
