The Glen Allen Carnival will be open from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. March 30 through April 8 at Virginia Center Commons across from Texas Roadhouse. This family-friendly event features fair food and midway games and rides for all ages – including Rock-N-Cars bumper cars and the new Super Cyclone Rollercoaster. Carnival parking and admission are free. Unlimited ride wristbands (for riders 36 inches and taller) are available for $25 Monday-Thursday or $30 Friday-Sunday. Ride tickets are $1.50 each, $25 for 20 tickets or $50 for 50 tickets plus one free ride. Rides take 3 or more tickets each. GreenSpring International Academy of Music will present pianists Selin Sekeranber and Yudum Cetiner, from Germany and Turkey respectively, for Duo Blanc et Noir (Piano Duo) at 7 p.m. at Seventh Street Christian Church, 4101 Grove Ave. This award-winning duo brings a uniquely colorful musical approach that blends traditional Turkish music with classical. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for seniors and students. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the HARPS Foundation’s Sound Experiences, a music education program for underserved youth. ComedySportz will present their hilarious, fast-paced and clean comedy at 8 p.m. Mar. 30 and at 7 p.m. Mar. 31 at the ComedySportz Improv Theatre, located at 8906-H West Broad St.  ComedySportz Richmond pits two teams, the Richmond Legends and the Virginia Hams, against each other in an improv battle for laughs and points as they make up scenes, games and songs on the spot based off of audience suggestions.  There is also a referee that calls the fouls and the national anthem is even played before each match.  The audience then votes for the winners.  Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door.  For details, call 266-9377 or visit www.comedysportzrichmond.com.


The Richmond Funny Bone, located at Short Pump Town Center, will present comedian Jordan Rock at 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. Mar. 30 and at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Mar. 31. Rock recently wrapped season two of the Netflix series “LOVE” and the Netflix feature film “San Bernardino Bound,” starring opposite Josh Peck and Tony Revolori. Mothers Against Drunk Driving will present its annual Walk Like MADD 5k Dash/Walk from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Dorey Park, 2999 Darbytown Rd. Walk Like MADD – celebrating its 10th anniversary this year – honors those killed or injured in impaired driving crashes. Funds raised support victim services and educational events in Virginia. Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden will present Peek-a-Bloom with Peter Rabbit from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Mar. 31 and Apr. 1. Peter Rabbit will greet visitors and pose for photographs. Activities in the Children’s Garden will include drawing with sidewalk chalk, hula hooping and making garden hats out of bags and ribbons. A concert on the Bloemendaal Lawn will take place Mar. 31 at 2 p.m. Easter Brunch in the Robins Tea House is by reservation on Apr. 1. Admission is $8 to $13. The Virginia Daffodil Society Show will take place from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Mar. 31 and from 10 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Apr. 1 at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden. Slippery When Wet, the Ultimate Bon Jovi Tribute, will perform at 8 p.m. at The Tin Pan, 8982 Quioccasin Rd. Slippery When Wet was formed in 2003 by Jason Morey after answering many inquiries of, “Are you Jon Bon Jovi?” Taking advantage of his resemblance he became determined to create an accurate portrayal of the band.
