The Henrico County Historical Society will meet at 2:30 p.m. at Dorey Recreation Center, 2999 Darbytown Road, in the Varina Room. The speaker will be David M. Sacks, community development manager with the Henrico Department of Community Revitalization. The Barter Players Encore Company will present “Frosty on Tour” from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Henrico Theatre, 305 E. Nine Mile Road. A young orphan named Billy discovers magic in a stolen hat. When he places the hat on a snowman’s head, that snowman comes to life. Billy and Frosty then embark on an adventure in New York City, discovering that the real magic of Christmas is love. Singer-songwriter Tamara Wellons will perform at 7 p.m. at The Tin Pan, 8982 Quioccasin Road. Wellons is known for soul, jazz and house music but upholds her southern Virginia roots and musical tradition, too. She is the owner of Maryland-based music company, Her Dreams Productions, and has executive produced three full-length albums. Doors open at 5 p.m. Tickets are $20.
