Wawa's store on Airport Drive in Sandston will reopen at 6 a.m. Nov. 16 following a five-week closure for remodeling.

The remodel is part of a companywide initiative to remodel existing stores to reflect Wawa’s latest store design and food service offering. Throughout the year, Wawa will remodel 75 stores chain-wide, investing more than $1 million in each one.

The remodeled store on Airport Drive will feature a new layout, new tile, flooring, lighting and graphics, upgraded exterior and signage and new custom salads and hand-spun milkshakes.

“This effort is extremely meaningful to all of us at Wawa, as it will enable us to share the most up to date Wawa brand features and new product platforms with the Richmond community,” said Adam Schall, Sr. director of store operations. “Through this remodel, we will enhance the customer and associate experience in our store to provide the most fulfilling Wawa experience yet.”

To celebrate the remodel, Wawa will offer a promotion to all customers from Nov. 16 to Nov. 19 – a free any size coffee, 89-cent any size Fountain or Icee, $2.99 any Shorti Hoagie and any Custom Salad for $4.99. The store reopening will also feature samples of new products.
