Wawa to open new store at Three Chopt and Parham Thursday

Wawa's newest Henrico store will open at 8 a.m. Thursday at 9100 Three Chopt Road, at the intersection of Three Chopt and Parham roads.

The company will host a grand opening celebration, featuring free t-shirts for the first 100 people to visit the store, as well as a ribbon-cutting ceremony with local officials and a $30,000 check presentation from The Wawa Foundation to Special Olympics Virginia to support the Law Enforcement Torch Run for 2019-20. To celebrate the grand opening, Wawa will offer free coffee to all customers at the location from from Nov. 14 through 18.

“At Wawa we recognize that our customers lives move at a rapid pace, and whenever we open new stores, it is our goal to deliver our unique brand of convenience in a way that fits our customers busy lives and is attuned to their specific tastes,” said Adam Schall, senior director of store operations.

Thursday's ceremony also will include live music from Freeman High School students, The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 9:30 a.m.

The event will conclude with a Hoagies for Heroes hoagie-building competition, featuring law enforcement torch officers and Special Olympics Virginia staff members and athletes facing off to see who can build the most hoagies in three minutes. in the traditional Wawa way. Wawa will present checks on behalf of the winning and runner-up teams, for $1,000 to Special Olympics Virginia.
