A nook of opportunity was all that was needed and Washington & Lee nabbed it to nudge past King William 63-54 on December 16 in Virginia boys high school basketball action.

Washington & Lee hummed like a well-oiled machine through the final quarter, extending the lead with a 53-41 advantage in the frame.

The start wasn’t the problem for King William, who began with a 13-10 edge over Washington & Lee through the end of the first quarter.
