Warner, Kaine announce airport grant

U.S. Sens. Mark R. Warner and Tim Kaine announced recently that 11 airports across the Commonwealth, including Richmond International Airport, will receive federal funding from the United States Department of Transportation to support improvement projects.
The funding was awarded through the Federal Aviation Administration Airport Improvement Program, which supports infrastructure improvement projects at airports across the nation.
Richmond International Airport will receive $8,733,800 to construct a taxiway.
