Table of Contents

Henrico County is coordinating an effort involving several agencies, groups and volunteers to deliver care packages of face covers, hand sanitizer and COVID-19 safety information to Eastern Henrico residents this Saturday and is seeking volunteers to assist with the effort.

Christian group For Richmond; the Medical Reserve Corps; and county officials will join other volunteers to deliver items in two shifts: between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. and also between noon and 4 p.m.

Volunteers will be transported from Henrico High School to a designated housing community along the Laburnum corridor by school bus and then go door to door to deliver supplies. But, the process will be contact-free, and volunteers will not be asked to knock on doors or open doors or mailboxes.

Volunteers will be traveling in groups of 5 or 6 and will approach a home in pairs. Lunch will be provided to all volunteers at Henrico High School, and face coverings and gloves also will be provided. Volunteers must be 18 or older.
