Virginia Pride plans ‘Endless Summer of Pride’ events

Virginia Pride officials have announced plans for their 2022 Endless Summer of Pride events, celebrating the LGBTQ+ community in the Richmond area, including Henrico. Twenty events are planned between the beginning of Pride Month (June) and proceeding through the last week of September, leading to VA Pridefest 2022. The programs during the event are as follows:

● VA Pride Pageant at Diversity Richmond (18+ to attend; 21+ to drink), 407 Sherwood Avenue, Richmond – Sunday, May 29, at 7 p.m.

● Pride flag raising at Richmond City Hall, 900 East Broad Street, Richmond – Wednesday, June 1, at 10 a.m.

● Building illuminations and observances – Wednesday, June 1.

● Lewis Ginter Grand Illumination (all ages), 1800 Lakeside Avenue, Henrico – \Wednesday, June 1, at 8 p.m.

● Pride Month happy hour at Common House (21+), 303 West Broad Street, Richmond – Wednesday, June 1 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

● Pride at the Market (all ages; 21+ to drink), 100 North 17th Street, Richmond – Friday, June 3, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

● Pride Month at Starr Hill Beer Hall and rooftop (21+), 3406 West Leigh Street, Richmond (all month).

● Lewis Ginter celebrates LGBTQ youth (all ages), 1800 Lakeside Avenue, Henrico – Sunday, June 5, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

● “Pridos” After Five at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden (all ages), 1800 Lakeside Ave, Henrico – Thursday, June 9, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

● MonGays Movie Series, 2908 West Cary Street, Richmond – Each Monday in June at 7 p.m.

● Love on Tap at Hardywood Park (all ages; 21+ to drink), 2410 Ownby Lane, Richmond – Saturday, June 18, from noon to 10 p.m.

● Rainbow Roll at Rollerdome (all ages), 4902 Williamsburg Road, Henrico – Sunday, May 15, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

● Pride Night at the Diamond (all ages), 3001 North Arthur Ashe Boulevard, Richmond – Thursday, June 23, at 5:30 p.m.

● Pride After Dark at Diversity Richmond (21+), 1407 Sherwood Avenue, Richmond – Friday, July 8, from 7 p.m. to midnight.

● Pridefest: Presented by the Virginia Lottery (all ages), Brown's Island, Richmond – Saturday, Sept. 24, from noon to 8 p.m.
