Virginia DMV reminds drivers to 'Click It or Ticket'

Virginia’s "Click It or Ticket" 2022 campaign is underway, ahead of the Memorial Holiday season, Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles officials have announced.
The annual campaign is designed to encourage local drivers to use their seatbelts for the protection of themselves and others or face receiving a ticket from local law enforcement.
According to DMV Virginia’s 2021 Highway Safety Annual Report, the campaign yielded 955 safety belt violations along with 142 child restraint violations in May alone.
With the Memorial Day Weekend being the deadliest travel season of the year, the campaign is conducted annually to save lives by increasing seatbelt usage.
