The Virginia Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting Oct. 9 to address proposed pedestrian lighting on the Huguenot Bridge, located on Huguenot Road (Route 147) in Henrico County. Proposed improvements include installation of lighting along the bridge to illuminate the sidewalks. The proposed lighting would be installed along the sides of the structure.

The meeting will be held as an open forum from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Tuckahoe Elementary School, 701 Forest Avenue. The meeting will provide an opportunity for citizens, businesses and organizations to provide input about the project.

Comments about the proposed project may be submitted at the meeting or until Oct. 19 by mailing them to Adam Brooks, project manager, Virginia Department of Transportation, 2430 Pine Forest Drive, Colonial Heights, VA 23834-9002. Comments also may be emailed to adam.brooks@vdot.virginia.gov. (Reference “Huguenot Bridge Pedestrian Lighting” in the subject line.)
