VDOT to hold public hearing Jan. 23 about Skipwith, Pemberton bridge projects

The Virginia Department of Transportation will hold a design public hearing Jan. 23 at Gayton Library from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. about bridge rehabilitation projects proposed for Skipwith Road (Route 7667) and Pemberton Road (Route 157) in Henrico County. The project is designed to rehabilitate the Skipwith and Pemberton Road bridges over I-64 to extend their service lives. The bridge decks will be replaced on both roads.

At the meeting, citizens, business officials or organization representatives can provide input about the projects. Gayton Library is located at 10600 Gayton Road, Henrico, VA 23838.

Comments about the project also may be submitted at the meeting or until Feb. 2 by mailing them to Anthony Haverly, project manager, Virginia Department of Transportation, 2430 Pine Forest Drive, Colonial Heights, VA 23834-9002 or emailed to anthony.haverly@vdot.virginia.gov (reference “Skipwith Road and Pemberton Road bridge rehabilitation” in the subject line).
