The Henrico School Board will wrap up a series of three virtual meetings with HCPS students with Varina District board member Alicia Atkins' online forum Monday, Aug. 31 at 6 p.m. The event originally was scheduled for the morning but has been moved to an evening start time.

HCPS students are invited to discuss a variety of topics with Atkins and several guests. Students from anywhere in the county may participate.

Possible topics include students’ thoughts on staying connected during predominantly virtual education, including resources for mental and physical well-being and ways to stay motivated and combat isolation and depression.

For details and information about how to join the discussions using Microsoft Teams, visit https://tinyurl.com/HCPSStudentTownHall. No registration is required.

The meeting will be recorded and posted on the School Board webpage for additional viewing. Video versions of the first two meetings are available on the School Board's homepage by clicking on “Previous Events.” The first virtual meeting with students was hosted by Board members Micky Ogburn and Marcie Shea; the second was hosted by Board members Roscoe Cooper and Kristi Kinsella.

The meetings are part of HCPS’ Community Conversations series. Adrienne Cole Johnson, director of the school division’s Department of Family and Community Engagement, moderates the discussions.
