Varina HS student identified as shooting victim

Varina High School student Vinshaun D. Johnson has been identified as the victim in a shooting earlier this week in Richmond. He was a junior at the school.
Johnson was the youngest of 10 children, according to his family. A GoFundMe page has been established to assist the family.
Johnson was shot in the 500 block of Montvale Avenue, just north of East Brookland Park Boulevard near the Richmond-Henrico Turnpike, at about 4:30 a.m. April 7, according to Richmond Police.
